The Company Founder & President

Randy Hipp

Randy Hipp, the owner of Columbia River Carpentry, has a rich family history of building as several generations have been involved in the industry. When Randy was 15 years old, he started working alongside his grandfather who taught him framing and masonry. Later, he worked with his uncles and gained valuable experience in the framing industry and general construction. It was working with his family in the framing and construction that provided Randy with a solid foundation of knowledge upon which to build his career in the building industry. It was also during this period that his love for the construction process began to grow.

Before Columbia River Carpentry

Before starting he own business, Randy worked in the building industry for many years learning multiple trades and skills. With each job worked, he was expanding his library of knowledge and strengthening the already strong foundation that existed. Working under highly skilled professionals in the field supplied Randy with experiences that would prove to be invaluable to him when he started his own business. His dream of owning a business became a reality in 2000 when he started Columbia River Carpentry. Four years later, as his business and reputation grew, he incorporated and became Columbia River Carpentry Inc.

Continuing Education

Randy believes the learning process is never complete and continues to self-educate to gain a deeper understanding and knowledge of the construction industry. Throughout his career, he has come up against many demanding projects.

He takes the time to research the latest products so he can provide the best options for his customers.
